The holly jolly season is upon us, and so are holiday bingo events! We know you’re probably excited to start celebrating in your bingo hall, and while you’re prepping the hot chocolate and game specials, don’t forget about some extra reindeer games: one we’ve got up our sleeve is the “Right Left” gift exchange, and it can be played a couple different ways:
Introduce the “right left” poem into your bingo session. Have everyone bring a small gift (under $2), wrapped. During a break in the bingo sessions, begin to read the poem aloud (included in our Bingo Hall Ideas Newsletter, download it here), and have everyone passing the “gift” with each mention of “right” or “left.” It should provide some great camaraderie and lots of fun! At the end of the ‘exchange,’ everyone will have a surprise gift! It could be as simple as a Christmas ornament from the dollar store—it’s all about celebrating the season!
If you’d like to incorporate this game into the night’s main line-up, you can ramp up the game by modifying it this way: Provide enough envelopes to give each player one. Everyone pays a small fee to play (let’s say it’s $2), and then the envelopes are passed around during the exchange poem. Two (or more) of these envelopes should have a cash prize amount, (maybe $10 if your players paid $2), or winning envelopes could contain vouchers for free game play!
What a quick and easy way to bring a little holiday cheer into your hall this season. Let us know if you try it out, and don’t forget to download our Holiday issue of the Bingo Hall Ideas Newsletter. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
