An animal sanctuary dedicated to caring for therapy animals in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin is using everyone's favorite game of chance to help restore the struggling farm.
Founder Tim Wiskow explains that the animals-- Clydesdales, ponies, goats, sheep, and llamas-- are taken all over the state to meet residents of nursing homes, patients in hospitals, people attending certain special events, and others who are seeking animal-assisted therapy; however the farm fell on some hard times when Wiskow needed to take time off due to illness.
Fond du Lac residents have been supportive of the efforts to bring Whisper Hill out of financial crisis by participating in weekly bingo. So far $10,000 has been raised!
