Students at New Mexico State University had to be turned away at their bi-annual Big Prize Bingo event, due to such a large turnout filling their student ballroom to capacity. It was a pleasant surprise, as students filled tables, extra chairs, and even stood lining the walls to participate in their event.
Students played for prizes like televisions and other big-ticket electronics, paid for with extra budget funds from the previous year.
Although it's generally considered a senior's game, it's clear that young people and old, alike, enjoy the game of bingo! Consider holding a Student ID night at your bingo hall, and offer discounts to players who present a valid school ID. Offer prizes like school supplies, dorm room furniture, or even scholarship money! Appealing to a diverse group of players is important to create lasting, life-long customers.
