The clambake party is a classic American fall feast, and although having an authentic New England clambake requires a beach and an open fire, you can still capture the spirit in your bingo hall with your own take on the festivities.
Your players will love an evening of dinner and entertainment: contact a local seafood restaurant for catering, to see if they are interested in donating the meal for your event or will offer a discount on the total cost. If you can’t find a restaurant or catering company that will do this, you can offset this cost by charging a small ticket price for the event.
Another thing to consider is whether you’d like to dedicate the clambake event to benefiting a specific local food pantry or soup kitchen. While players enjoy their clambake meal, they can also enjoy the knowledge that their contribution is helping those who’s next meal might not be guaranteed. Find your local food bank here. Include this organization while advertising your event; include their branding on your signage; offer game play packages named after them (read more about Package Pricing on our blog); or offer a discount on ticket prices in exchange for non-perishable food item donations.
Make sure to also include games and products that adhere to the theme of your clambake, such as fall-themed ink dabbers, our “CLAMBAKE” Nuggets game, or just fall-colored bingo paper. Good luck!
