Gaming Commission, beer at bingo near legislative passage

North Carolina is a step closer to allowing alcoholic beverages to be sold and served at bingo halls, to be overseen by their new Gaming Commission. The creation of the new Gaming Commission would assume responsibilities like managing bingo operations, raffles and boxing matches in NC, and take over the current North Carolina Education Lottery. The bill was passed 86-26 and will return to the state Senate for a final vote.

What do you think: should alcohol be served in places with charitable gaming? How do you think this will effect your bingo hall, or other bingo halls? Let us know what you think in the comments or on social media.
